Register Now For The Manila Leg: The 36th National Milo Marathon!

With just a month before the 36th Milo Marathon, I was able to register for the 21K distance online last week. I didn’t quite have the time to troop over the outlets and stores where you can register, so paying the extra service and shipping free wasn’t a problem at all. Just go over at the Milo Philippines website and register online here. The online registration started last May 21 and will be open until July 15, 2012. I find this pretty convenient and the bazumedia site loaded quite fast and efficiently. After you register, you will receive an email confirming your registration along with your confirmation code.

You can also register in-stores from June 11 to July 22, 2012 at the following affiliated stores:

  • Riovana Stores in Katipunan and BGC
  • Toby’s Mall of Asia
  • Toby’s Trinoma Mall

There is a cut-off time for the 42K runners if you want to be able to qualify for the Full Marathon Milo National Finals this coming December 9, 2012. Please remember that only PROVINCIAL 21K Runners who MAKE THE CUT for their Age Group is qualified to join the Milo Finals too. There is NO QUALIFYING TIME for MANILA LEG21K runners.

Run with Men in Uniform: Philippine Air Force’s 65th Anniversay Run

Philippine Air Force Run

The Philippine Air Force will be celebrating their 65 years through an anniversary run that will be held at McKinley Hill on June 24, 2012. Well aside from having the chance to run with sexy men in uniform (if that’s your thing), you will also have a chance to run alongside a couple of Azkals player AND see Eduardo Buenavista fly the 10K route.

Well, if you can ran alongside Mr. Buenavista, isa kang official na mamaw. And the rest of the mere mortals will just cheer you on too!

This run is not just a celebration, but also a way to raise funds for the children of members of the Philippine Air Force who are in action, missing in action or killed at war. We all know being a member of the Philippine Armed forces is a hard one at that. More so for the dependents of these members who need funds for their education and well-being.

This is one of those races that we highly recommend that you support, it is after all for children above everything else. During the blogger’s night last week, the Philippine Air Force has made this event to be the best possible for all the attendees to enjoy.

If you are bringing your kids with you, there is a day care area where you can leave them at 4:00 in the morning. And booths and food stalls from their sponsors for everyone to enjoy.

And at the same time, you get to train your quads for the killer route that will traverse McKinley Hill.

Register Right Now for the ValuCare Run this coming June 16, 2012

In commemoration of their 15th Anniversary of ValuCare Philippines, they are holding an intimate run that will benefit Bantay Bata and Eat Bulaga’s Plastic ni Juan Project. The blogger’s night was held last Wednesday, May 23, 2012 over at Bugsy’s in Burgos Circle. Boy Ramos spearheaded the event and gave us a chance on what this run has to offer for running enthusiast’s out there.

WHERE: Bonifacio Global City, Taguig

DISTANCES and FEES: 3K – PhP500 / 5K – PhP500 / 10K – PhP650

You can register up until June 10, 2012 in the following Chris Sports branches: SM Annex North EDSA, SM Mega Mall, Glorietta, SM Mall of Asia, and Festival Mall. There is also a very SWEET and BIG ValuCare shoe bag for all of the finishers in this run.

And to top it all of, you have a chance to win a trip for TWO to Boracay – airfare and accommodations too!

I’ll be running the 5K distance for the ValuCare Run. Do bring bottles that you can donate, and remember that part of the profits will go to Bantay Bata as well.
